BONJOUR PARIS!! PART 1

If I did find it hard to select the designer of my review of Milan fashion week which forced me to write not one but two posts (PART 1 / PART 2), with Paris I had no other choice then create three posts to show you my favourite collection for the following season.

An incredible opening of Paris Fashion Week with Christian Dior. For the Spring Summer 2018, Maria Grazia Chiuri remarks the concept of feminist and feminism with strong messages printed on stripy long sleeve top “Why have there been no great woman artists?”. A question that finds its answer throughout the collection. For the following season, the Italian designer proposes classic iconic archive pieces redesigned with a contemporary approach. Demin, Leather and Tulle are the key materials for the Dior Lady of the SS18.

With this astonishing collection, Anthony Vaccarello is declaring once again his vision of a new YSL.  For next season, the french brand has focused on details, playing with short lengths and big proportions. The incredible atmosphere and the spectacular location created a magical moment accentuated by models walking on the catwalk wearing beautiful looks. Spring Summer Black is the dominating colour of the SS18 and is found in different material and fabrics, Brocades textiles, embroidery details and feathers are the main features of this incredible collection.

A picturesque collection. For the Spring Summer 2018, Dries Van Noten increments a fluid a structured silhouette and bold colours. Oversized men blazers assume a female allure. Printed silk foulards become part of the garments and we cannot forget about brocade fabrics, the significant signature of the brand.

Rochas turns couture for the Spring Summer 2018. Inspired by oriental art, the opulent collection is characterised by beautiful floral prints emphasised by bright colour contrast. As well, we see how brocade textiles become must have for the SS18. The silhouette is 50’s inspired with lengths just below the knee.

A wave of fresh air for Chloe. Under the creative direction of Natasha Ramsay-Levi, the French brand proposes a new vision for the Chloe woman creating the perfect balance between  Romantic and rock n roll at the same time. A feminine silhouette where the key point is: ATTENTION TO DETAILS.

Where do I start with Balmain… A strong, fierce and powerful collection that speaks for itself. A-list top models walked the runway wearing elaborated clothing characterised by the signature Balmain silhouette. There is no doubt about the message that Olivier Rousteing wants to send: the Balmain woman is confident and empowered with no limits. The collection presents Elaborated sexy mini dress with chain/embroidery details, transparency games and fabrics patchworks, ruffles and feathers.

Parisian Chic and sportswear addict; my definition of the Isabel Marant’s Spring Summer 2018 collection. A new approach to fashion for the French brand which presented a couple of menswear looks with heavy knitwear jumpers over leather/nylon trousers (can’t wait to get my hands on). The oversized silhouette becomes fluid and soft giving the sensation of comfort.

The Spring Summer 2018 collection of Nina Ricci is incinerated on the silhouette of the garments. For the following season, Guillaume Henry created a military inspirited collection lightened by pastel colours feather that emphasises the feminine allure.
